SPECIFICATION
PROTRACTORS, ONE OR THREE ARM
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
SCOPE
1.
1.1 Scope. This specification covers protractors with one or three
movable arms used in position, plotting, and hydrographic surveying.
1.2 Classification. protractors shall be of the following types and
classes as specified (see 6.2.1):
Type I - Metal
Class 1 - Three arm, left hand, circular
Class 2 - Three arm, right hand, circular
Type 11 - Plastic
Class 1 - Three arm, circular
Class 2 - One arm, semi-circular

2.1 Government documents.
2.1.1 Specifications and standards. Unless otherwise specified, the
following specifications and standards of the issue listed in that issue of
the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DoDISS)
specified in the solicitation, form a part of this specification to the extent
specified herein.
