Type III Straightedge.
a. Graduation marks shall be etched or scribed into one surface of each beveled edge and shall be centered in the overall length of the straight edge.
b. Scale shall read in meters to the left of the zero mark to a maximum of 100 meters and to the right of the zero mark to the maximum reading shown below. The graduations on the left of the zero mark shall provide minimum readings of 10 meters, and the graduations on the right of the zero mark shall provide minimum readings of 100 meters. The graduation marks to the right of the zero mark shall be numbered from left to right every 500 meters to include the maximum graduation shown below. The 50-meter and 100-meter marks to the left of the zero mark shall be numbered from right to left.
